Review of The Harcombe Diet: Stop Counting Calories and Start Losing Weight (Paperback)

The five day kick-start phase was really tough; I felt exhausted and headachy and miserable and all i could think about was eating bread, white rice, crisps and chocolate! But it's only five days so I stuck to it somehow...amazingly on the sixth day I woke up feeling great! Plenty of energy and no headaches or cravings. Since moving on to Phase 2 I've been really enjoying my food but for the first time in years am not obsessing about it. Have been able to give up sugar and sugary foods with very little effort.

Eating wholegrain versions of rice, bread, cereal and pasta has been so easy and tasty. i can't believe how great food tastes when you're no longer addicted to sugar.
