Review of Performance Eating: The High Performance High School Athlete Nutrition Guide (Paperback)

I think this book is THE source of common sense, no nonsense nutrition for the active athlete. Whether your a hard driving competitor or non competing fitness enthusiast like myself, this book can help focus your diet and streamline your eating habits. Bill explains the nutritional needs of working muscles in easy to understand language. He avoids overly scientific medical terminology, and lays it out in a way that teens and seniors can understand. With a little introspection into your own diet, and YOUR workout or activity needs, this book WILL enhance your energy. I can only say that it did mine in a lot shorter time than I expected. As titled, I highly recommend this book for parents of teenagers or younger athletes. This can help you understand why the call junk food "Junk", and how to eat for right for game day.

I tossed out my other "sports nutrition books" after reading this one. I bet you will, too.
